Jim Grenier, again.
When the committee first met earlier this year we discussed previous reunion events. We looked into what classmates liked about them, and the drawbacks to how things were executed. Some events were overly complicated. some were just a tad awkward.
After much discussion we decided to start with the simplest plan for our 55th: just get together in a nice place and reconnect without a whole lot of fanfare and entertainment.
The first step was to find the best local venue for a relaxed atmosphere. We looked at various places known for good food and fun atmosphere. It wasn’t a hard choice in the long run, and we unanimously chose the Ould Newbury Golf Club. The room is nice, there is a nice deck and they have a bar and great food.
Oh, did I mention the theme? Well, if we have a theme I guess I can only describe it as “Just Relax and Hang Out with Old (or Ould) Classmates.” Or, as I prefer to think, “Maybe just a bit of nice conversation.”
Oh, can we leave the politics at home? Of course we can.
