I was pleased to see Jeff Pelletier and Jack McGhee make comments on on of my posts here within a day of receiving the postcard. That means someone is reading my ramblings and exploring this website.
Hi Jack, it’s been a long time!
Hopefully you too can contribute something to my random thoughts and add some necessary color or humor.
This IS what the reunion is all about, after all: reconnecting, letting everyone know who you are, and what is going on out there. This is the important stuff now. This is a sample of our connections.
I hope that when you finally come to this website you’ll take a little time and read not just the information pages and the forms, etc., but, maybe, look over here on the right column and poke through some of my personal thoughts about what our reunion(s) are for. And it isn’t a celebration of high school, though that is, of course, the framework that provides our universal connectivity.
So, don’t be shy about commenting. The more classmates interact here—regardless of whether or not you are planning to attend in September—the better we can reconnect.
There were a lot of people in our NHS class, and even after spending four or more years together, not everyone knew each other. When I designed the cover of our yearbook, the vertical and horizontal lines intersecting was my attempt to graphically describe how, through our high school years, our paths intersected in some way. Our paths crossed in classrooms, hallways, events, games, assemblies, dances, homerooms, and detention, but I did not know everyone. Neither did you. Yet our lives crossed and maybe it is time that those old paths can merge even if only for an afternoon in September, or here on this humble website.
So, please yammer away at me. Feel free to criticize, compliment, expand or correct me. Or add to a previous comment. It will make interesting reading. But please be kind and respectful. Things can be tough out there, but in here, in the class of 1970 embrace, we can all get along.
Hello Committee,
Thank you for this website.
Event date needs to be added.
Julie
Hi Julie. Glad you and Steve are coming. The Reunion Date is listed on most of the regular website pages. I didn’t see the need to also have it within my personal posts. In case you didn’t see it, the event is September 13, starting at 3;00 pm.
sounds like fun
