Hi. Jim Grenier here. Somehow Mary Alice (Berger) Timmons and Carol (Larson) Soucy suggested I, once again, head up the reunion committee. I wasn’t exactly reluctant but knew that without my late wife Lyn (Sanborn) helping me stay focused I might not do as great a job as they wanted.
But I said yes nonetheless. Having worked with pretty much the same classmates in the past I figured they would cover for my deficiencies, which are many. And so some texts were sent sent out to coral the usual suspects.
I roped Charlie MacLean to be be my co-chair and he is doing a great job. His wife Martha (Bebee) is also contributing, as is Barbra (Parsons) Hopkinson, Sheryl (Fram) Blair, Mike Timmons, and George Minasian. There will be other familiar names added as we need more help.
We all understand that these events aren’t about celebrating the old school. They are about our friendships and connections forged in sharing a common experience as teenagers.
Yeah, we’ve gone each on our own path, but our history binds us togther as a community and that is why we do what we do in creating these events every few years.
Join us if you can. We’d love to see you.
I for one am glad you are heading this up again. Thank you to you and the rest of the gang. It will be fun to see everyone again. I will be mailing a check to Mary Alice. Thanks again. Patti Anne MacFarland class of 1970. I’m going to try to convince my husband James Brodrrick to go, he doesn’t like to do those things.
Thanks Jim for heading up this all star committee. I missed the last reunion due to my work in Haiti. I am looking forward to seeing everyone.
I am so happy to hear that it’s going to be another class reunion. Thank you to everyone that’s making this happen
It’s August 9 with only 19 days to reserve your spot for this event. In the past many classmates waited until the last minute, one even drove their check to my house the day before a past reunion. But we don’t have the luxury of “last minute” this tie around.
So, if you think you want to come, be sure to reserve by August 28 and pay by September 1.
If you need financial or physical assistance there is a private form on the website for that purpose. Only you and I will know and all information will be held in the strictest confidence.
I am very sorry to miss this reunion. I really want to see everyone again as I have enjoyed immensely the reconnecting. Unfortunately, the timing coincides with a trip I am making to Tennessee to assist with some of the rebuilding still going on from the hurricane that did so much damage there last September. I will be meeting up there with Lloyd Fish, going down with his brother Wayne (class of ’71) I hope the laughter good times last all night!
Steve, hope you have a good trip and are rewarded with such a good deed. Say Hi to Wayne for me and, of course, my great pal Lloyd. I was hoping to see you and have a catch up chat, but what you are doing instead is very meaningful. I’ll let all the others know why you couldn’t make it.
